Since moving to Brooklyn from the west coast, award-winning drummer and music educator Dan Barman has made himself known as one of the most talented young drummers in New York City. Barman has been featured in Modern Drummer Magazine as a young DCI World Champion. Longtime drummer for Indie artists Food Will Win the War and Joanie Leeds, he has recorded for several GRAMMY Award winning producers including "Commissioner" Gordon Williams and Dean Jones. As a touring drummer, he has performed at such venues and events as The Hangout Fest, The CMA Music Festival, The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, The Ed Sullivan Theater and Joe's Pub. Barman's current work includes the award winning single Family Tree by Joanie Leeds (feat. Jonatha Brooke), which won 1st place in The USA Songwriting Competition.
